ABOUT THE LECTURER

Currently, Dr. Lockstrom is Executive Director of Institute for Advanced Operations and Supply Chain Management (IIOM), Shanghai, China. Previously, he was Senior Associate Professor of Operations Management at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in Suzhou, China, where he did teaching and research in the areas of operations and supply chain management. Dr. Lockstrom received his BSc/MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management at Chalmers University of Technology and his PhD in Operations Management from European Business School, Germany. He has previously taught graduate courses at European Business School, Moscow State University, Tongji University and MBA courses at CEIBS, Webster University among others. He has published more than 50 academic and practice-oriented papers and book chapters, and made more than 60 conference appearances. Dr. Lockstrom has more than two decades of consulting experience working with several dozen Fortune 500 companies.

ABOUT IIOM

IIOM is a non-profit institution and was founded in 2022 as a response to the increasing importance of operations management and a growing demand for more up-to-date certification training in a faster-than-ever changing global economy. The institute is headquartered in Shanghai, with affiliates dispersed in various locations around the world. Through better academic-practitioner collaboration, it strives to continuously generate applicable knowledge that can be utilized by industry professionals.

DELIVERY

This program is delivered both as a tutor-led offline version and a self-paced online version. Participants can choose whether to participate in either or both (make selection in the application form section below accordingly); the final certificate will indicate the type attended). The program comprises four full-day sessions, each of which consists of four sub modules, each session running from 9am to 5pm every Friday through November 2023. Teaching language is English. Event venue is downtown Shanghai (Pudong or Puxi), exact location to be announced. Online version is self-paced and can be done anytime from anywhere on any Internet-enabled device. IIOM reserves the right to reschedule and/or re-allocate participants to other dates in case of insufficient attendee numbers.

ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES

Applications are reviewed as they arrive. Completed applications must be received 10 working days before the start of the course. Any applications received after that date will be considered on a space-available basis. Please address all applications and enquiries to our customer service team in Shanghai. Minimum number of attendees is 10. IIOM reserves the right to cancel or postpone the course in case the minimum number of participants is not fulfilled.

COURSE FEE

Please see the table below for current price. The offline tuition fee includes tuition, case licensing fees, lunches and stationery. The online course includes one year access to the online teaching materials (webinars/quizzes). Both the offline and online courses include a one-year IIOM membership. Course literature, certification exam and other course materials are charged separately. The exam fee allows the attendee to do the exam once. If the attendee fails, he/she must pay the exam fee for renewed attempts. The full fee must be paid no later than 10 working days before the start of the course. Applications made within 10 working days of the start of the course require immediate payment.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations or changes of a course registration may be made without penalty at least 10 working days before the start of the course. If a confirmed booking is cancelled within 10 working days of the start of the course, or if the applicant fails to attend the course, a cancellation fee equaling to 20 percent of the total course fee will be charged. If an applicant is unable to attend the course, the applicant may transfer to a different session of the same course within the same calendar year, but must pay any difference in fees between the two courses, if any. All changes and cancellations are subject to the final confirmation of IIOM.
